Former Spurs idol Jurgen Klinsmann gave indication he would want the Tottenham job if offered accoring to the Sunday papers.
The Football Association are expected to go all guns blazing to land Harry Redknapp in the summer which leaves the door open at Spurs, could Klinsmann be the choice? Klinsmann has done relatively well in his manager career and could he be a popular choice with the fans? History shows for Spurs that their former players find the job tough after Ozzie Ardiles and Glenn Hoddle both failed to take the club forward during their spells at the helm.
He stayed for one full season in 1994-95 when Tottenham reached the FA Cup semi-finals and then returned for a brief loan spell in 1998 when he helped the club steer of relegation.
Klinsmann is currently the manager of the USA national team but has said he would love the Tottenham job if it was ever offered to him as the club has a special place in his heart.

Kyle Naughton You Beauty....Norwich Score When They Want!
We should go all out for Mourhino, Klinsmann is not experienced enough.
no change at spurs…why?…..the club needs consistency with champs league for a number of years especially with the new stadium build……for the first time in 20 years redknapp has got us on the map and with this team we can win……England is the top job but get real we need to change our EPL if we are to win at international level with measures in place regarding english players dominating team selection and lifting our technique as spain did…….look at the stats….where are we?
dont know if i want klinsman as a manager. he could do well, but i dont feel that he would be that person to sucseed redknapp.
Can Rednapp be convinced that after the news of his prosecution dismissal, Capello resigning and the Euro Championships have passed he and the England team will be third rank news after the Champion’s League and the Premiership. If anything goes wrong for England he will be blamed after his honeymoon period as have all the others. No he should stick with Tottenham in football’s 1st rank competiton, if Tottenham can qualify, or continue to strive to help them to improve. Unfortunately International football in this country does not have the kudos it should have.
This is a spoof article i take it
It would b a bad move to appoint klinsman, phillipe lahm is very scathing of him in his autobiography says he done nothing on training ground no tactics no half-time team talks also says without jochim loew as coach with Germany he would if failed & he’s not the only munich player to slate him as a manager. So no thanks great player but not a manager.
Slaven bilic is the one for me out of contract with croatia afyer euros & style of football Croatia play is a mirror image of spurs. Tactically he outwitted hiddink ( who has failed on last 2 jobs Russia&turkey) in euro playoff quallifier winning 3-0 in turkey is no mean feet.I reckon Croatia could b dark horses in summer & will surprise a few people.
Alternatively a double appointment of Luis van gal as director of football & Michael Laudrup as manager would do for me. Whoever is appointed the football phillosophy has to remain the same.
I thought Bilic would be a good shout too. Would be more tempting for Modric to stay and could attract your Kovacics and Vrsaljkos…
I totally agree the footballing style has to be identical, and ideally someone as affable as Harry.
Slaven Bilic would keep Modders too….good thinking…. with Clive Allen as his no2 would be ok for 3 yrs until Chrissie Hughton is ready to take the throne…… COYS!!!
Oh yeh forgot about Bilic! He has got Croatia playing some fantastic football. Very entertaining to watch. It makes them the Brazil of Europe, just without the international trophies and diving
the national team will need a miracle not harry redknapp.spurs fans have showed love as england fans will show the complete opposite.harry don’t ruin the latter years of your life.world class goal keeper in joe hart will not be enough to win a lot of games as one player does not make a team.
I hear Frank Rijkaard is on the radar but just a rumour.
Absolute Tottenham hero but i think there will be more twists in this, would bring goosebumps to see at the lane again
