Twenty-Four hours later, the dust has settled and from my view, I can see a clear road to Wembley after being drawn at home to Bolton in the quarter final of the FA cup, providing we see off Stevenage….
It was a lacklustre performance from us and nothing short of expectation at the Lamex stadium in Hertfordshire. An unfamiliar line-up was followed by a typical Tottenham display against lowly opposition in a game where we barely created a chance.
However, no panic buttons were pushed as the final whistle blew on a rare sun-soaked February afternoon. We were still in the draw for the last sixteen and providing we avoided away trips to Stamford Bridge or Anfield I was confident that 2012 could well be our year of domestic cup success. A home tie against Bolton Wanderers awaits the winner of our replay with Stevenage, perfect.
I can almost smell the print from the over-sized and over priced FA cup final match day programme and I don’t think many would bet against us lifting the trophy for the first time since the year of my birth.
It is a competition that a minority of managers have snarled at in recent years, much to my disgust. The irony is that for managers such as “I did not see it” a lack of silverware is costing them jobs as inevitably that is what football fans pay hard earned wage to go and witness.
Ultimately, with the prospect of FA cup glory and a top four finish looking very promising, the stage is set for ‘Arry’ to go and manage England with his reputation at Spurs untarnished. However, he should stay with us regardless…
Note: I have the feeling that if we win at Emirates on Sunday which we can, Wenger’s excuses will not be enough to save his deteriorating position and how fantastic would that be? Gooners in turmoil and a 13 point gap between us. Just a thought….
To dare is to do.

What a fantastic season this could be !!!
We are on the the brink of making another chapter to go with our past exciting history. This is when we are at our most vulnerable we have had a week too remember with Harry’s aquittal culminating in Capeloes resignation and our walloping of Newcastle 5-0 . What has followed has left me worried on two fronts Harry’s constant rants to the media selling himself with stage managed interviews too his many media friends on the radio in the papers and on TV. This will eventually have a negative affect on our players and there performances, our next few games are the pinnacle of our season. If we win on Sunday this could cement our third place and keep our slim chance of winning the title with a late sprint past Manchester’s finest alive and kicking. The other alarming worry is Arsenals Manager is on death row not from being sacked but moved upstairs out of harms way and his ego and the players past history wont allow this too happen lightly already the ranting has started from Wenger and his players . I have said on many occasions our biggest threat is high work rate used when desperation is at its highest and against Liverpool 0-0 and Stevanage 0-0 both had high desperation and with our line up we failed too score. The game at the emirates also has a very high desperation factor and i no what comes out when these few words are mentioned high work rate snappy tackles and chasing the ball all the way back too the keeper are all in evidence Harry needs to remind our players every pass needs accuracy long balls should be kept too a minimum and chances converted and the very least we come away with a draw. This is the part of the season points are stolen with with Ukad and the FA not looking for the new word from shock managers our work rate was outstanding or like Stevenage players saying we did our home work. This begs the question who told Stevenage players we where going too play three at the back no play maker and Parkers Arse and Saha boot would help them get a 0-0 Magic or dodge work rate ?
Let’s just rejoice in the fact that Arsenal got knocked out – and now they have no chance of silverware. COYS
