There’s no question about it, many eyebrows were raided when Harry Redknapp was appointed Tottenham manager but nobody can deny what an outstanding job the guy has done in completely turning our football club around.
Redknapp has an ongoing court case accused of tax evasion and a guilty verdict depending on his punishment could spell the end for him at Tottenham and if he gets away with it there is every chance he will move on in the summer to take his dream job of managing England. Nobody could blame Harry for taking the England job in the summer if it means so much to him but who could possibly come in and fill his boots now Spurs are firmly back on the map?
Jose Mourinho! The Real Madrid manager has stated he would love a return back to the Premiership and is likely to leave Madrid in the summer. Spurs would be the ideal job for Jose as we need a manager who can attract big players and keep us up the top. Jose would probably see Spurs as the ideal challenge, I don’t know if he could go anywhere else as he would probably clash with the Man Utd and Arsenal board and unless Abramovic wants him back at Chelsea then to me it’s written in the stars for Mourinho to take over after Harry.
Mourinho has made no secret of the fact that he wishes to return to England, the Premier League is Mourinho’s home and he has only had good things to say about Spurs of late, maybe he has a little soft spot for us. If Harry does move on in the summer then it will be a massive decision on who to appoint, a wrong call by Levy could see us once again become a mid-table club. The Spurs job used to be cursed but Harry was finally the man to pub us back at the top and to carry on our recent trend will be a hard task in chosing the next manager as there is no doubt Harry has raised the bar at Spurs and made managing the club harder than ever now expectations are high. Could Jose be that man, does he have the credentials to become the next Spurs manager.

Kyle Naughton You Beauty....Norwich Score When They Want!
A hell of a lot of Spurs fans were anti-Redknapp too when he was offered the job but where are they now?
Harry and Jose are also quite matey, so that might help make the idea and transfer of managership smoother.
We’re close but we need to make our mark for a sustained period and Jose is one of only a very few who could do that.
There just isn’t anybody else out there and we’ve had more than our fair share of mid-table wilderness for the last how many years.
Yes! Mourinho would be great. Whatever people want to say about him “being bigger than the club” or “to much of a defensive tactician” doesn’t matter. He can make any team good. He is managing a team now and has put them 5 points clear of argubaly the greatest team in the world. First year with him, champions league, second year once the team has settled with new signings, Title! Brendan Rogers=Good manager but lack of experience, we need a title winner manager to stay a title contending team.
He would’nt be my first choice, my view of him is he’s an arrogant self serving prick and the teams he produces are either play acting cheats (porto) or all power no finesse football (chelsea) He’s at arguably the biggest club side in the world spent countless millions on the best talent in the world and the team just like him have no class at all. Weather he’s talking to the press slating opponents or forcing a top ref to resign from football after accusing him of cheating it’s allways the jose mourinho show! Look at the barca v madrid games do we really want his brand of lose your soul win at all costs football? I know i don’t
Remember early chelsea when the soak it all up and then break at speed When he had duff and roben, flying wingers, switching sides.
He’d love to inherit Bale, been after him since he was proclaimed to be our Jonah (which was actually jenas but I digress), he could return to stylish play if he didn’t have to win ugly like he does in Spain.
You don’t beat the Harlem Globetrotters with the Harlem Globetrotters. You don’t beat fire with fire. No a cold bucket of water is what you need.
Mourinho is looking at the bigger picture.
Love to see what he’d do with Spurs.. Not much I’d imagine. Steel up our defencive stratetgy (by actually having a strategy) so we could sit back and soak up
Without the panick. Nice!
It’s not what the supporters think or feel about the manager, it’s what the manager makes the players feel like and how they respond. Harry has that. Everyone wants to play for him. Mourinho has it too.
He’s the only one that can keep us on track. Sure klinsmann would be nice bit we’d dip in form and he’d be out before he could get his thing across. We would be on another roller coaster ride through managers like before.
As I see it only Mourinho could keep the wheels on.
Two Names leap out and shout give me the Job David Pleat who promises the players a Crimbo Party in the red light district in Amsterdam Only joking. My real Manager would be Klingsman or the Barca man who would love too manage in England
For me its a big no for Jose. He will think he is bigger than the club and plus we have not got the money to fund his big money transfers. We also want a manager for the long term – someone who can be with us for at least the next four or 5 years- Jose wouldn’t last that long at Spurs because he will lose interest. We need a manager who knows the premier league but also knows Tottenham’s football phlosiphy. In my opinion i think Roberto Martinez would be perfect. Everyone is talking about Brenden Rogers making Swansea play our sort of football- it was Martinez who but the foundations for Swansea to play like that and Rogers is now taking all the plaundits (not saying he has not done a good job). Also Martinez seems like a really nice guy and the players at Wigan really seem to want to play for him which is similar at Spurs with Harry. He wouldn’t spend our cash on big name players who just want to earn a lot of money and as he is well known in Spain he could attract big players from La Liga. Also look at Wigan and they play some good stuff with Watson, Rodeallga, etc so imagine what he could do with Rafa, Luka and Bale. But to be fair lets just try and keep Redknapp, if we cant then Martinez is our man and he would never say no to us.COYS!
This story has been doing the rounds for at least a season now. The likes of feet ball weekly and Sunday supliment plus a few others have spoken about this in detail. The special one has even mentioned Spurs in a press conference as a possibility. It’s a definate story of some substance. Especially if he’s looking to hang around and Lear a legacy, Spurs at current with new stadium and training ground could be the perfect fit for the special one! Only one problem! His style of play is not Tottenham!
Wowsers unite!!!
All the antiJose crap above reeks of the Tottering Hotspur of legend.
I don’t GAF if we play defensive football to win and you lot need a reality check if you really think that anyone else could keep the squad together.
‘Go and check with Bill himself: the days of 60-61 LEFT with the money that poured in to the PL and made MONEY the primary way to win the PL unless you have a gifted manager.
We still lack a decent stadium and Lewis is no Abramovitch (what can you expect of a currency trader? one step off a pimp at best and not far offf Mafia Roman)) so we will STRUGGLE to keep MOST of our best players over the next two seasons.
Only someone like Jose could keep the squad togther and perhaps achieve success so all of you permanent losers who raged agaisnt GG as well go & raved about the “Tottenham way” constantly despite the fact that it almost ALWAYS kept us out of the top four, try to open your bigoted minds for once: Harry has done a miraculous job but the wheels are loose already and could come off at any moment and we do NOT have the buying power to BUY our way out of trouble unless we have a great manager/coach.
The Watford display shows what effect the trial is having on the squad and God help us vs Bolton!!
Jose needs a decent challenge with no overbearing bosses and he likes London. 90% of THFC supporters would have him in a second but not the moronic purists who wnat to see us doomed to no CL and permanent second class status. but that is OK so long as we play the “Tottenham way”. No wonder the A*se supporters laugh at you!!
Redknapp cannot hold the team together no matter how well we play but Jose might just be able to do that and to me, that is all that matters.
We play Wigan next actually. Dont you get it? Jose does not care and would not care about Tottenham, he just cares about himself. I’m not saying he is not a good manager but it can only last so long- look at Inter Milan- When Madrid came calling he dropped them so quickly and now thy are struggling- its Inter Milan- who were Champions League winners, league winners and cup winners- they are now struggling to get into the top 4 in the Italian league. If he does the same to us, we will not get back into the top 4 as he will take all our best players with him and as the competition for top 4 is so much harder in England, we wont be there. I want Spurs to win things, with a manager who cares about Tottenham, the way we play, the way we are etc we can still win things if we get the right manager not someone who just cares about being the Special One! COYS!
Everyone seems to miss the point that JM will not move to any club without £8m per year and a £150m transfer war chest, does that even sound like Spurs ?
Steve Bruce will come cheap with no demands and DL will be able to steer him in the right direction.
With Bale, The Croat and VDV sold we will have a third of the required Stadium finance, a third from Hewlett Packard (notice our pre-season games will now be in the US) and the final third from Saudi Arabian Airways.
Let the building commense.
I was just about to post about how our top earners are supposedly on £70k a week, yet Mourinho is on £200k at Madrid.. ‘At last, I’ve found somebody else who talks sense’ I thought.. then I read the rest of your comment.. lay off the shandies

Not quite!!
Jose is really p*ssed about how Chelsea treated him despite words to the contrary and he resents pushy bosses (ie MC as well).
He also loves London.
Once he leaves RM he has two options:1) make loads of money…so anywhere is possible even Russia. or 2) Give his ego a huge boost by waking a sleeping giant and pushing a team of underachievers to the CL cup(and the PL on the way). To do this he will need a good squad and some purchasing power, but the challenge for him will be to do it on a limited budget while his salary is debatable.
IMHO he is young enough to take on the greatest challenge of his life: to do a Porto with THFC. Once he does this he can either stay in London(his children love London) or he can demand ANY amount of cash in his next job.
After RM & having Barca next door his ego is battered and he knows that the RM players have a Barca complex. So he will try to beat Barca, but not with money but with managerial ability, which, dislike him or not, he has.
I just cannot see him trying to emulate Ferguson at MU, Shankly at Liv, Wenger at A*senal as all are almost impossible acts to follow or enduring the owners at MC & Ch as he has had it with pushy owners,
As for Bruce OMG!! Are you trying to scare us?
